One Flow We Use To Convert FOMO Into Revenue

Email Shakeup

Hey there, Tarun from Milkshake again🥤
Most brands panic when inventory runs low.
Smart brands turn this into an automated conversion machine.
The Low Stock Flow is one of our favorite urgency-driven automations, built to drive revenue before products sell out.
Here’s how it works and how to set it up properly 👇
What Is The Low Stock Flow?
This is a Klaviyo-triggered automation that activates when a product hits a low inventory threshold.
Sends a real-time email (or SMS) to warm prospects
Creates urgency and scarcity
Drives fast purchases without discounts
This flow is incredibly useful as it:
Helps clear inventory quickly before stock goes out
Encourages immediate purchases through urgency
Builds exclusivity and FOMO around high-demand products.
When To Implement This Flow?
This flow works best for brands that:
Have popular SKUs that sell out often
Experience frequent stock shortages
Have inventory tracking integrated with Klaviyo or through an app trigger
Flow Structure:
Trigger: Low inventory alert via Klaviyo
Flow Sequence:
Email 1: Low Stock Alert!
Show the product above the fold, add urgency-driven copy and include a simple CTA.
This email should be clear and concise, with the main priority being to show them the product that is going out of stock and a simple way to buy it.
Email 2: Final Chance!
Only send this email if the product is still in stock after email 1.
This is a simple reminder email that is driven by scarcity and urgency.

Final Thoughts
The Low Stock flow is heavily underutilised by ecommerce brands but it can turn into a goldmine if implemented.
When executed correctly, this flow:
Drives urgency without discounts
Increases conversions at the exact right moment
Adds predictable backend revenue to high-velocity SKUs
Hope this was valuable!
See you in the next one,
Tarun
