Welcome Series Breakdown

Welcome Series Breakdown

Hey there, Tarun from Milkshake 🥤

Today we’ll be breaking down the most important flow for ecommerce brands.

The Welcome Series.

Let’s break down each email in this flow with design and copy examples. 👇

Welcome Email 1

This is the money maker.

You will find this email may generate more revenue than the rest of this entire series COMBINED.

Which means you should put majority of your focus on this one email.

These are the key things you should include:

  • Welcome the new subscriber to your brand

  • A short, engaging brand introduction and thanking them for joining our community

  • Discount Code (if applicable)

  • What subscribers can expect from us (Collection Features, Blogs, Recipes, etc)

Welcome Email 2

This email is mainly educational focused with the intent of nurturing the subscriber.

Here you want to share information about what makes your brand different from the rest.

These are the key areas to focus on:

  • Large focus on the production process/manufacturing process of your products.

  • Highlight the Unique Quality Standards your brand has.

  • Benefits of shopping with your brand over your competitors.

Welcome Email 4

In this email, I would recommend sharing all the positive reviews/testimonials your brand has.

This builds strong social proof and trust around your brand.

These are the key areas to focus on:

  • Customer Reviews

  • Media Reviews

  • Celebrity/Brand Endorsements

Welcome Email 5

Finally, you want to end off with your brand story.

These are the key areas to focus on:

  • The story behind the brand.

  • Why was it created?

  • What problems were the Founders facing that led them to creating this brand?

  • Incorporate a community element by adding a social media section.
